October 23 at 2:54 PMA fragrant day in the backyard herb garden cutting back basil for pesto before the next freeze. Cleaned up the mint, oregano, fennel, dill, and garlic chives Transplanted my bonsai Wisteria into a new and smaller training pot.

October 23 at 11:11 AMIt has been a good run. I find that I am more aware of choices that I make while shopping. Cutting down on waste and using reusable products even more has been another benefit. Thank you for providing this opportunity to participate.

October 21 at 3:18 PMSpent the morning in the Cottonwood Gallery collecting phenology data for our Nature's Notebook citizen-scientist project. The cottonwoods are changing color and should improve through the week. On Friday we hope to get some aerial video taken with a drone flying through the canopy.

October 21 at 3:15 PMWent up to Corkin's Lodge in the shadow of the magnificent Brazos Cliffs for my nephew's wedding. Fortunately, the strong winds bracketed the ceremony and Saturday was perfect for the couple.

October 18 at 7:29 AMTraveling today up to the Brazos for my nephew's wedding. Might be a tad breezy, but the cliffs there are a dramatic backdrop for appreciating nature.
-
October 17 at 8:39 AMTook some time this morning to go through some of the other categories of actions and updating my "I already did this" checklist.

October 17 at 6:49 AMI was reading about impacting investing and one link led me to another story, article, info. Found "The Lazy Person's Guide to Saving the World." Great thing to share with anyone in your life that may find this whole situation to overwhelming. Here is the link: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/takeaction/

October 16 at 2:46 PMGave a tour of the Botanic Garden to a group of Horticulture Volunteer candidates. A perfect day to stroll through the garden. I'm always impressed with the Hort. Volunteers; they work so hard to make the Botanic Garden the beautiful place that it is. Without them, we docents wouldn't have the garden for our educational efforts.
