I have been fairly good about bringing grocery bags, however I always end up with 3-5 single use plastic produce bags. October 21 at 6:53 AMI practice self care by doing things for myself that I enjoy. I try and get massages each month to help loosen tension and sore muscles; I also try and think about Future Joanna and the things that would keep me healthy, productive, happy, and a better version of myself.

October 19 at 4:44 PMI find the less "stuff" I have, the more free and happy I feel. And the more I use items that my grandmother would recognize, the more my stress level goes down.

October 19 at 4:40 PMOne change that has helped me to avoid acquiring more is to limit any new plastic into my home. If I want a utensil, box or tool of some kind, then the item must be made of wood, metal, bamboo or glass. Sometimes this costs more, and it encourages me to take better care of these items so they will last.
