    Can't believe the challenge is over. Definitely made me more cognizant of my actions and their impact on the environment. It was also great to see others in the community getting involved! Way to go all!

    Today is the last day of the eco challenge. I have become a lot more aware of my actions and their impacts during these three weeks.  I plan to continue on my path towards sustainability!

    Why is it so difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places? How might your experience with this challenge impact your future consumption and choices?

    Transparency. Companies are not transparent about where their products come from, and we are all consumers who don't make our own products and rely on these companies. I think it is their responsibility to be transparent about how these things are sourced and the impact they have on the environment.

    How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?

    I love outdoor activities and Chicago is especially tough for that since it is so cold for most of the year. I find that in summers when I do go outside more, I am always amazed at the beautiful city we live in.

    Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

    I have found that if I sleep too much I am groggy the next day, and too little leaves me feeling fatigued as well. I think tracking the mornings when I feel the best and how much sleep I got the night before would help.

    Most electricity is nuclear, but I have just signed up for solar/wind power! I am hoping that sustainable energy becomes more affordable and more popular.

    I am realizing that it is important to have impactful conversations with people around you. Sometimes we don't realize the impact that our choices are making. Today I spoke with my mom and convinced her to start making changes that can save the environment.
