We can divest completely from the fossil fuel industry, or any others that support unsustainable practices!

Waste Learn About & Practice Sustainable Fashion

Repairing clothes with great patches and buttons is one way, I think.

Trading and swapping is also a good way to freshen up a wardrobe without buying new products.

It's important to maintain what we have and only buy new if absolutely necessary.

Impact investing guarantees that my investments won't perpetuate more ecological devastation and instead works to improve conditions. These are the things I try to do with my daily life. Investments should be the same!

Working at a community center with a fitness room makes it really easy to exercise 5 days a week, but it's really hard to get motivated do any exercise on my days off.  Bike has a flat, so my goal is to fix the flat and start riding on the off days.

Oh, dang am I feeling some feelings today.  This week I had both the "impossible" and "beyond" burgers from fast food drive thru.  While technically vegan/vegetarian, I was hoping to go the whole challenge without fast food.  Ah well, next year then.  Gonna focus on the fresh veggies and fruit for the last few days of the challenge, for sure.

Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

I have multiple reusable water bottles at work and at home now.  My main struggle is when I'm on the go and I've forgotten a water bottle.  It's hard not to dart into a mini mart and grab a sparkling water.  I do try to reuse that bottle throughout the day and then recycle it, but just bringing the dang thing every time would make it permanent.

    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can be such a freeing action to take -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

It's important to reduce as much as we can in any way we can. Even though recycling is important and effective to reducing our impact on the environment, not having the thing to recycle in the first place is even better. Reduce is greater than reuse or recycle! It feels good to do something even more. I'm hoping soon to use just one trash pickup per month. It's going to be hard, but we'll get there.

    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

Even after making the change I find it’s most difficult to remember to bring the dang thing!

It’s hard to get outside and exercise some days, for sure.  It’s too bad they haven’t invented bike desks that could generate electricity and power.
