  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

Eating more meat uses more resources and increases your carbon footprint. Eating lower on the food chain, reduces your carbon footprint and frees up land and resources that could be used to grow more food for people. People in richer countries eat more meat because it's readily available and affordable. It's easy not think about the true cost.

High Impact Action Track Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Bringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I have started to buy in bulk when I can to cut down on smaller quantity packaging.  That is how I got my oatmeal for this month :)

At home I put up blue barrels for rain water.  Folks at home can wash their car unlimited! and do you know rain water is a good thing to clean and clear your wind shield? yes! , no steaks or gray residue or marks after it dries..
