I enjoyed being part of this. I really benefited from the extra sleep and meditation. I did not check in as often as I had hoped.

I can't believe it's the last day already! I am really pleased with how much bike commuting that I was able to do, and adding in 5 minutes of meditation/free thought has been really nice. I definitely struggled with the decluttering, but I did manage to do a little bit last night, and my personal goal to myself is to keep that up over the next few months. Go Team Portland

You realize your neighborhood and beyond is more than hardscape and cars.  I went mushroom hunting over the week-end and was blown away by the variety in such a small area.

Last day and hopefully I made some lasting behavior changes.  I'm definitely keeping my compost container at work!

Tonight is my last chance - I'd better tackle the decluttering! I can't believe time has gone by so fast. Even if I only do one small corner, I'm going to get rid of some stuff tonight.

How do I get more meditative time into my day, even if I struggle to get up early enough to have a quiet home to myself for uninterrupted meditation time?

    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

Eating less meat has been a breeze! I have been eating a bagel, toast or cereal most mornings that I eat breakfast - then have been eating sandwiches or salads without meat for lunch (thai food is also a great alternate for no meat lunches!). This makes dinner easy in case I go out, or someone else prepares dinner - it eliminates the need to have a 'special' meal. Though I haven't accomplished this every day, it is doable and I think since the challenge began I have decreased my meat intake by 50%.

I think this is much easier for me than going vegetarian because I don't feel guilty about wanting to eat meat and it becomes a sort of special treat.

I find this to be true for me too! Less meat is so much better than no change at all, and not nearly as hard for me as I expected. Nuts & seeds and even seaweed go a long way to satisfy my hunger! Great work and thanks for sharing.

I planted two cedar trees that I received when I ran the Portland Marathon half!

For this challenge I am laminating the schedule to put at the stop as well as putting a small trash bin next to the bus shelter. I will empty the trash bin whenever I notice it becomes full :)
