I drive a 2003 toyota camry with 220,000 miles... Boy oh boy do I WANT a new vehicle.  My husband and I did some major reflecting on my "Need vs. Want" for a new vehicle.  We decided to get new tires on the car and keep her.  Now we have our fingers crossed she makes it to 300,000 miles.

300,000 would be a huge milestone! Needs vs. Wants can be so tricky when we're told via advertising, social media, etc. that ditching the old for something new and shiney will make us happier. Kudos to you for resisting!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Find Local Recycling Depots
Our ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?

Simplicity Go for a Daily Walk
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

My walk today was multi rewarding.  Not only did I benefit  from fresh air and moment, I also enjoyed distributing bread to homes in my work neighborhood.  Every year we celebrate "Feast of Saint Francis (of Assisi)" by giving bread to our neighbors.  It brings me joy to serve others and am thankful my work culture offers this outreach.

I have been debating on whether or not to get a new iphone.  My current phone is about 3 years old and had a broken screen.  In the end I decided to replace my broken screen and get a clean new case.  Feels good to fix something broken and "reuse/re-purpose" a perfectly good phone.
