REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity necessary for practicing simplicity?
Casey Shepard 10/02/2019 1:50 PMOften there are many ways to repurpose something you already have to achieve whatever it is you need instead of buying a new item for the job. This requires creativity to fit your needs and simplicity to get by with homemade alternatives instead of going out for the newest, trendiest version. But keeping it creative and simple can save you money! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Casey Shepard 10/02/2019 1:45 PMI love the sensory experience of walking versus driving - birds chirping, breezes blowing, the warmth of the sun - makes you take stock and appreciate where you are. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Casey Shepard 10/02/2019 1:40 PMRicher countries are able to produce more meat, but it is unsustainable for our planet (methane, deforestation, etc.) and health (heart disease, obesity, etc). -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Foods DietMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this idea?
Casey Shepard 10/02/2019 1:36 PMYes! I'd rather pay a little more for better quality food now than drown in medical bills in the future for eating too much crap. -
