October 15 at 5:56 PMSo, I talked to my mom today and she shared some awesome news with me! My mom has noticed and asked about my low waste choices and started making changes in her life too! And yesterday HER mother in law got to talking with my mom and was inspired by her and all she had learned about from me that she's no longer going to buy styrofoam...

October 14 at 5:22 PMTonight for a vegan, whole foods meal I made a caramelized leek, onion, and potato "gratin," and it was yum!
-
October 12 at 6:15 PMToday was Harvestfest and we killed it! Diverted tons of waste from the landfill today, and hopefully some folks took some lessons home.
-
October 11 at 8:11 AMFolks need to stop caring about their lawns unless they really spend a lot of time out there. I'd love to see more homeowners and neighborhoods shift to local plants and trees with the type of growth that doesn't require so much water, fertilizers, and maintenance. Better for the environment and better for quality of life wrt less time wasted...

October 11 at 8:09 AMI actually can't think of any single-use items I use regularly...it becomes a regular mindset pretty quickly.
-
October 10 at 7:27 PMTonights whole food dinner was fun! Great recipe of farro, green apple, spinach, onion, roasted pecans and parsley!
