Recycle Everything I Can

Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, making sure to not contaminate recyclables with non-recyclables.

Waste

Reduce Single-Use Disposables

Historically, marginalized and low-income communities live closer to landfills, contributing to a multitude of health problems. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate.

Work from Home

I will work from home 2 day(s) to avoid my commute's carbon output.

I am continuing to learn I can recycle more waste than what I thought I could.  Definitely less stuff going out in the trash!

Eating in the cafeteria with non-disposable dishes versus take out back to the office has this additional benefits of conversation with others and providing a healthy work-life balance.

Encouraging others is so important.  I do not always make this a priority.  Having a challenge to do this daily is a great reminder of the importance of people and community.

Inspire is a great tool for this. Not only can you send recognition, but one's colleagues can see that recognition on their Inspire homepage too! (You don't have to attach points to it either—I know we have a limited number to give)
