I commute fairly far but drive a fairly fuel efficient vehicle and always make sure I run my errands during my commute so I don't have to head back out after getting home!

In what ways can you increase the positive impacts and decrease the negative impacts of your financial investments?

There does not appear to be any funds available to the Daimler 401(k) plan that focus on sustainable businesses or technologies. I think having a fund like this would be a positive for people that would like to invest in those areas and I personally would love to see a "Green Index Fund" or something like that to invest in.

  We've also been upgrading all our lights to LED bulbs and have upgraded a few appliances to high efficiency too. Our next project is to replace our 20+ year old heat pump system with a new significantly more efficient one that will greatly reduce our overall consumption!
