October 11 at 7:07 AMThis does not surprise me. I would use the money to buy the highest quality local (as much as possible) foods, all the time or possibly hire an organic food delivery service. Possibly pay bills or adventure locally.

October 2 at 9:13 AMMaking a doctor's appointment was a big deal for me. But self-care is very important. I meditate, take walks to get up from my desk, take my meds on time every day. There are lots of ways to practice self-care, I consider even painting nails to be a form of it.

September 24 at 11:43 AMI have changed all of my paper billing to paperless and have even called some junk mail companies to have me taken off their lists. I love it.

September 24 at 11:42 AMIt all starts with one action and one person. I was so inspired by Greta Thornberg and how she has risen up to inspire millions. I choose to make at least one difference every day in the way I do things, to help make the world a better place.

September 24 at 11:38 AMI am very lucky to work for the Zoo, in that I can't throw a rock without hitting someone who knows what goes where at what time depending on what it is made of. The biggest discourager is picking up trash in my local park every day. There is always something new to pick up and it seems never-ending. But if I don't do it, who will? My new mantra has become, "My thoughtful actions...

September 15 at 9:50 AMTaking a 5-minute shower has not been as challenging as I predicted. I go in with intention. It also helps that I have very short hair :) I have been hand washing my dishes when I have the time to do so as well, instead of using my dishwasher for everything!

September 8 at 11:03 AMToday, I went and got a 2-pack of reusable bottles from Costco. I recycled the packaging, of course. Now I have one bottle for my office, one for my car, and one I am supposed to take everywhere with me. I am so excited, and now I have zero need and zero excuses to ever need a plastic water bottle again. :)

September 5 at 1:59 PMSometimes I will forget my bottle at home or work. Getting more than one reusable bottle will help the need to stop somewhere and get a plastic bottle.
