    We take family walks with our dog Otis daily.  We have headlamps (even my 3 yr old) so we can be seen in the dark.  We have small trails around home that we often visit in the summer and fall months.  Winter time is a little harder to get outside but my son LOVES to be chased around the house so this keeps us plenty active.  My dog barks at all...

    I haven't eaten meat in 30  years.  However I have recently started a more plant based diet including way more fruits and veggies.  My husband is now also eating WAY less meat as well.  We have much for energy and our bodies are beginning to heal

    Turning off lights has been a bad habit for me since I was a kid.  My mom always yelled at me.  This challenge has kept turning lights off on the forefront of my mind and I have been SO much better about it!  It's such a small and simple thing but it does make a big difference.  Shutting down my computer is also something I never do as I always...

    We are on gas in our home.  We actually just installed a new energy efficient hot water heater.  Our heating and air condition unit is new and also energy efficient.  We installed central air into our home a few years ago and invested in a zoned unit to help save on energy costs.

    I think making a decision to be enviornmentally friendly is jist that:  a decision.  We can all do it . . and every little thing matters.  Today, at my lunch and learn, they demanded that I not bring any plastic ware, straws, styro foam containers, box lunches,  or canned/plastic bottled beverages.  Woo hoo . . we are all chagnign the world...

    carry them out or use the hand cart and palce them in the car. I actually ahve serval bags in both our cars

    I didn't think I was addicted to sugar but when I do eat sugar it is easy to realize how you could get addicted.  Not eating sugar does make your whole body feel better from your teeth to your stomach.   I also don't miss the sleepy slump you get a couple hours after eating sugar.
