I offset emissions from my upcoming flight to Spokane, WA by supporting a project that provides solar cookers to refugee families in Chad!

I am trying to teach my roommates how to conserve water. For example have a sink of soapy dish water to wash dishes as opposed to running the facet the whole time. Or running larger loads of laundry to ensure that water is not being wasted.

Pro Tip from the Department of Sociology: Shut the lights off in the bathroom after you're done. This is probably one of the lights that stays on in most offices. We turn it off on the 4th floor of Murray. :)

That's a huge number! I would much rather use that money towards treating other people to coffee dates or making memories.

When I practice gratitude, it makes me focus on other people more than myself. When I begin to be thankful for the impact my friends, family, strangers, ect. have on my life, it becomes clear that the world does not revolve around me!

I work with Oklahoma State University's Sustainability office! While working here for the past year and a half, I've picked up alot of habits to help the environment like refusing straws, energy efficiency, recycling, and much more! I'm taking part in the eco-challenge so I can learn more and take my green habits to the next level!

When you focus on an attitude that reflects your gratitude for everything you've been given, you are more likely to treat what you have with more respect.
