They intersect because they all involve me, the way I treat the environment,  reflects on the community, and myself as far as health goes, so it is important I take care of and respect the environment, not just for myself but for others as well

    Nature Forage for My Food
People are motivated to forage for many different reasons: as a source for food, a means of income, to connect with nature, to participate in cultural tradition, transmitting specific ecological knowledge, or as a means of stewarding local and native plant populations. What is your chief motivation for foraging?

There would be many reasons to learn to forage. One, a  free source of healthy food and I had no idea there is a map to show you where you can find different trees and bushes in a certain area. Two, it's always a good idea to know what around you is edible in case there is ever an emergency and you don't have access to a cupboard full of food or grocery store

High Impact Action Track Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Bringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I finally bought a reusable Starbucks cup. I also now have a hoard of reusable bags, it's just trying to remember to bring them with me to the store which is hard. Maybe keep some in my car. I'm actually finding it easy to make a few small changes that can have a big impact
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Disconnect from Email
Notice how much time you were spending checking email away from work and make note of that. Now that you have stepped away from it and have not been checking, what changes are you noticing in your thoughts, use of time, stress and energy levels?

It has been very refreshing, I am not stressed, and not worried about anything, and actually it has been peaceful. So this was good for me
