Farmers are affected by what their neighbors choose to do with their land. Large scale production companies are seeking land in our area and they don't care about making sustainable choices, they care about production and profits.

This was such a simple way to save energy. It has me thinking of other things around the house I will leave unplugged on a daily basis.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

I always make sure to keep my reusable bags in my car! If I forget a reusable bag, I opt for paper and then utilize that for my compost bin.
