  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Turn it off
How is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?

In Poland unfortunately most electricity is generated by coal-fueled power stations. Their impact on environment and living organisms is massive. They cause degradation of air quality (by emitting toxic substances). Substantial emission of carbon dioxide increase green house effect, which leads to increase of global warming. Moreover those power stations contribute to acid rains and produce a lot of wastewater. Of course all of those factors have a very negative influence on animals and humans health.
