High Impact Action Track
Plant Trees
Nature
I will plant 4 tree(s) in my community, public parks, or backyard.
Food
Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
I will watch 2 documentary(ies) about food sovereignty: the right of local peoples to control their own food systems including markets, ecological resources, food cultures and production methods.
Health
More Fruits and Veggies
I will eat a heart healthy diet by adding 2 cup(s) of fruits and vegetables each day to achieve at least 4 cups per day.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 4 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Community
Talk To My Friends and Colleagues
I will research the social or environmental issues in my community that matter to me and tell 6 friends and/or colleagues each day about what I learn.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Community
Help Others
I will offer to help 10 person(s) who are in need each day.
High Impact Action Track
Stay on the Ground
Transportation
Instead of traveling by plane, I will find an alternative way to accomplish the goals of an upcoming trip (i.e. telepresence, vacation locally).
Energy
Choose LED Bulbs
I will replace 3 incandescent lightbulb(s) with Energy Star-certified LED bulbs, saving up to $14 per fixture per year.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Kaelah Saephan Garcia 10/22/2019 11:16 AMThis positively affect the planet by eating less meat because eating less meat will not involve the Carbon dioxide from the cows and animals like that. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Kaelah Saephan Garcia 10/17/2019 11:20 AMI incorporate the R's by reducing all kinds of plastic i've used in weeks and then make sure they go into the recycle. Then for repurpose things I could make stuff outta old things.
