Say No to Plastic Straws
An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.
Waste
Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Say No to Plastic StrawsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Destinie Ordway 10/15/2019 9:59 AMWe use a lot of ziplock bags for leftovers. I'm trying to use reusable tupperwares instead. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Destinie Ordway 10/15/2019 6:24 AMCarrying the items out in the cart! I have the hardest time remembering to bring my reusable bags. I'm going grocery shopping today and will try and make a point to load the reusable bags back into my car once I've finished shopping and unloading the items at home. -
