REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?
Rebekah Lockwood 10/09/2019 9:46 AMIt helps you realize that the world is bigger than what's on your phone or inside your house. I like to think, as I see people and cars pass by, I wonder where they're going? What's on their mind? How they're feeling? It's so easy to get consumed in your own world that you forget about the billions of other "worlds" that every person experiences uniquely. -
Rebekah Lockwood 10/09/2019 9:40 AMI completed my first one-time challenge! I am house sitting this week in a neighborhood I am considering moving to. I decided to walk their dog on the nature trail across the street. The doggo loved it and so did I! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Rebekah Lockwood 10/09/2019 7:43 AMI think I need to stop shopping for fun. I really like spending my free time going to Target or TJ Maxx and just seeing what I can find. If I only let myself shop for things I need, then I will prevent the accumulation of unimportant ~things~. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Rebekah Lockwood 10/03/2019 9:56 AMIndiana is rated as having some of the dirtiest water in the US. In some areas, it is frankly unsafe to consume. Using water purifiers like faucet attachments and Brita pitchers, as well as using the purified water dispensers around the Greenfield campus, are ways I can drink water using a reusable water bottle safely. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Rebekah Lockwood 10/03/2019 9:53 AMAs I was taught growing up...count your blessings. It really helps you realize all of the things you are privileged to have. Doing this keeps me motivated to work for a better world because I know that many people do not have the privileges I have. I want the work I do to help give other people access to the things I am lucky enough to have. This includes access to nutritious food, clean water, a formal education, a safe place to live, literacy skills, self-care and so much more. -
Rebekah Lockwood 10/03/2019 6:35 AMThe three things I am grateful for today:
- Strong coffee
- That really good feeling you have about yourself after a tough workout
- Dogs. Literally every single dog.
