Nicole Granados 10/10/2019 5:10 PMLuckily, it's zero-waste week at my job so my goal for the challenge is to cook one zero-waste meal using whole organic foods. I decided that this meal would either be my lunch or my dinner so I've planned ahead and planned out what my meals would be for the week. I then would grab exactly what I need from the grocery store and bulk buying anything that is not produce. I've already bulk bought things in the past but I haven't made it a regular thing so I'm excited that this challenge has pushed me to be more mindful of the bulk section. The other day I wanted a snack so I grabbed a produce bag from my bag and grabbed a snack from the bulk section!-
Barbara Willard 10/12/2019 9:44 AMGood luck with zero waste week. This is going to be quite challenging, no doubt. Meal planning is essential. I've learned this along the way with my challenge. If I don't have fresh, unpackaged fruits and veggies around, I have only food that produces waste. Ughh! BTW, great idea getting your produce bag and getting a snack from the bulk section. I can do this as well- easy enough!
