    Lost a pet yesterday, but so grateful for the one we still have, and for caring veterinarians. Grateful for coworker support as I scooted away to deal with pet trauma. Grateful for support from friends and family after a sudden goodbye.

    grateful for: Leftovers! Easy, healthy dinner last night. Problem solvers! My kids are taking care of themselves - responsibly. Community! My neighbors are helping us cope with a sick pet.

    1. Celebrated my Mom's birthday. Grateful for her health & vitality! 2. Enjoyed a day with my niece. Grateful that family is close by! 3. Not eco-friendly, but so grateful road construction near my home is complete and traffic is back to normal (low) levels on our country road.

    grateful for: Warm dry home after last's night very wet pubic transit commute (I was soaked!). Husband's successful result with home electrical repair. Sister's help transitioning our parent to senior living.

    3 gratefuls: My teenage son can make his own dinner! My daughter has an amazing opportunity to study abroad! My older dog can go a few days without a long walk and still be my best friend!

    grateful for: Kids who can roll with the punches, sister's help with my feisty Mom, Boss who sat through a trade wonk event with me today (without groaning).

    My biggest struggle has been checking in! I'm very busy, but have been making a point to thank those who support me - without them I could not get so much done! Example: my neighbor stopped by to  grab Styrofoam off my front porch on her way to recycling station. Saved me time, saved an extra trip, and saved a tiny piece of the planet.

      I put it on my calendar every day at 4:00 PM as a reminder. Enough time before the race at the end of the day.

    Today I thanked Penny for vowing to continue taking public transit through the winter months. We are MAX buddies (rain or shine)!!!!

    3 gratefuls for today: 1. Clear, dry walk from MAX for am commute! 2. Enough leftovers for a nice lunch 3. Son is self-managing High School (& killing it!).
