Steve's actions
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Transportation
Use Public Transit
I will use public transit 25 mile(s) each day and avoid sending up to 14.15 lbs of CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.
Water
Say No to Plastic Straws
An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

Steve Bloniarz 10/01/2019 6:56 AMLooking forward to reducing my carbon footprint by taking the Park & Ride Commuter bus to work every day this month. This will cut down on 14.15 lbs of CO2 going into the atmosphere each day. Beyond that, refusing to use plastic straws to help our oceans, being more mindful about recycling, as well as using reusable water bottles and coffee mugs will help reduce my waste footprint.
