Addy Davidson 10/02/2019 12:50 PMYeah, same thing. It took me an embarrassingly long period of time to get into the habit of bringing my reusable bags (I blush to say), so I would just load it all back into a cart and take it to the car, unloading there. At home, I would retrieve my reusable bags, load the items from the car and bring them into the house. This helped *remind* me that I need to take my bags!

REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Amanda A 10/02/2019 11:30 AMSometimes I pop into a store needing just a few items, not bothering to get a cart or basket to bring them to the register. I tell the clerk if I could carry everything up to the register, I can get it out to my car. This way, I'm both saving a bag, and hopefully passing on the idea to someone else.
