Five minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?

To further reduce my water footprint, when washing clothes, consider consolidation of some items i.e. towels with jeans that are past the "color bleed" stage.  Also, when there are only a small number of items in the sink, say 2 glasses, or a cup and small plate, wait to wash dishes by hand and only give items a quick rinse.

In some instances, the use of rainwater for the home i.e. a rain barrel as well as snow which could be melted.  Also, build more homes with a well system where feasible.  All 3 of these could be used as alternative source of water.
