REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Slawek Wojciechowski 10/11/2019 6:39 AMAlways have bag or two with me, so no issue; if I miss it - make smaller shopping & postpone bigger one to evening same day or day after and come prepared :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Slawek Wojciechowski 10/11/2019 6:37 AMNo barriers at all, at least in Prague, where quality of tap water is good; don't remember when purchased water in plastic bottle last time - just had to keep in mind to take with me alu-bottle whenever I know I will need some water (e.g. swimming pool or even short excursion somewhere). -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Slawek Wojciechowski 10/11/2019 6:21 AMEating meat obviously requires using more water in production process than producing good based on plants only - my vege-friend told me, 100 non-vegeterian people reducing meat consumption on every day will have bigger positive impact than 1 full-vegetarian :) Encureg everyone, I try to keep my diet: breakfast - no meat; lunch - 4/3 approach (max. 3 times pr wk meat); dinner - yes, some meat too >> after 0.5 year like that, no negative impact to my weight ;) -
Slawek Wojciechowski 10/11/2019 6:16 AMWk 07/11 - until Fri, 4 vegetarian lunches done + meat once; plan for weekend - 1 vege + 1 normal; every day no meat for breakfast - standard for a long time already, this wk - no different. -
Slawek Wojciechowski 10/11/2019 6:13 AMOnce per wk we bought food from cooperative - done this wk!
