I've been seeing a lot of stories arguing for an international carbon tax after the recent IMF recommendation on this. This article from The Guardian offers an interesting counter-argument: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/oct/12/carbon-tax-imf-inequality-climate-change
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

During the challenge I've been more aware of the changing seasons when I walk than when I drive.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Needs Vs. Wants
How is creativity necessary for practicing simplicity?

It's easy to just default to buying something from Amazon. Sometimes you have to be creative to figure out a way to find something locally.

So, this shouldn't be surprising, but I'm a little surprised at s company whose motto was "Don't be evil." Google made large contributions to climate change deniers

That's an interesting tidbit. I can't help but wonder who is paying for the space ships to leave once the earth is dust.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

I have no idea why eating meat is an international symbol of wealth. American movies and TV? Anyway, there seems to be lots of evidence that there would be enough food for everyone in the world if we all are mostly plant-based diets.
