    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

People in richer countries can afford to eat meat. Eating more meat means more pesticides, chemical fertilizers, fuel, toxic manure and other pollutants contaminate our air and water. Eating a lot of red/processed meats are associated with heart disease, certain cancers, and obesity.

You can find hobbies that show your creativity/personality. You can volunteer for causes where you can be more creative. You can decorate a room in your house out of items you already have or work to have that will be longer lasting.

Only make purchases for things that I truly need or that 'spark joy'. If I won't use it more than two-three times, it may not be worth purchasing/having.

Practicing gratitude helps attract more positivity and what you want. It helps me appreciate what I do have while I work towards more of my goals. It helps me appreciate things/people that I may have previously overlooked.

Bringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I regularly use reusable mugs and water bottles. I also pack my lunch in a lunchbox and containers that I wash & re-use.
