Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

    Transportation Choose a Carbon Offset
A round-trip flight from New York City to Los Angeles emits just over 1.5 tons of CO2—per person. That’s a lot of carbon! What can you do to reduce the number of flights you take per year?

I will use https://www.carbonfootprint.com/ to determine my total carbon footprint for the year and choose an offset.

I'll be doubling-down on my volunteer efforts with Seattle Audubon Society during this challenge. If you want to know more about why this matters, check out this recent op-ed on the Seattle Times: https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/weve-lost-nearly-3-billion-birds-in-north-america-but-you-can-help-slow-the-decline/

Being with animals in nature inspires me to be more sustainable. I'm working with the Seattle Audubon Society to build community around supporting birds and their natural habitat.
