Waste

Recycle Everything I Can

Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, making sure to not contaminate recyclables with non-recyclables.

    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

It is a well known fact that the meat industry is not sustainable for our environment mostly due to the amount of waste produced. Not eating meat for one meal a day is a super easy way to decrease your own carbon foot print!

    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

This habit is super easy to do! I bought a reusable Starbucks cup and it’s easy to use instead of a single use plastics one.
