Alyssa's actions
Waste
Recycle Everything I Can
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, making sure to not contaminate recyclables with non-recyclables.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 2 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Food
Reduce Animal Products
I will enjoy 1 meatless meal(s) and/or 0 vegan meal(s) each day this week.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Alyssa Reynard 10/03/2019 10:51 AMIt is a well known fact that the meat industry is not sustainable for our environment mostly due to the amount of waste produced. Not eating meat for one meal a day is a super easy way to decrease your own carbon foot print! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Alyssa Reynard 10/02/2019 7:39 AMThis habit is super easy to do! I bought a reusable Starbucks cup and it’s easy to use instead of a single use plastics one.
