REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Christiana Paradis 10/18/2019 9:45 AMI eat less and am more likely to notice when I'm full. I also have a greater appreciation for the complexity of flavors I'm noticing in my food and an increased sense of gratitude.-
Christian Reifsteck 10/18/2019 11:36 AMChristiana, I like this and am going to eat dinner tonight without my usual reading. Thanks for the inspiration!

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Audit Toxic Cleaning Products in my HomeTo what extent do you believe that environmental factors contribute to your own health or issues with health?
Christiana Paradis 10/18/2019 9:42 AMI think that environmental factors certainly contribute to our own health. Dumping of toxic materials typically happens in neighborhoods inhabited by people in lower socio-economic status. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy From a Farmers MarketWhat is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?
Christiana Paradis 10/10/2019 5:34 AMCurrently eating a vegan diet and working to eliminate processed food and make locally sourced meals. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?
-
Christian Reifsteck 10/16/2019 12:28 PMI went to World's End last weekend. It was beautiful. I'm going back again this weekend. Thanks, Christiana! -
Christian Reifsteck 10/07/2019 8:27 AMHey, I've been wanting to go there! It's one of my Ecochallenges, too!

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Track my PurchasesWhat have you noticed about your purchases? Where are you inclined to make shifts, if any?
Christiana Paradis 10/03/2019 5:37 AMI guess the one positive thing about working too much during the week is less time to spend money? At least that was the case today! The only thing purchased was lunch in the caf! Interested to see how my spending changes on the weekend compared to weekdays? -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Eliminate Toxic PlasticsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Christiana Paradis 10/02/2019 10:33 AMPlastic bags that produce is pre-packaged in is my biggest single-use plastic item, especially frozen vegetables. I've been trying to buy fresh vegetables and freeze them, but sometimes that is challenging! It really drives me bonkers when you can only get broccoli or celery that is pre-bagged by the grocery store. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Locally-Sourced MealsIf you were to only eat what is in season locally, what would be the hardest food item for you to give up?
Christiana Paradis 10/02/2019 5:52 AMThe most difficult thing to give up if eating only food that is in season and locally produced would be dark chocolate!
