    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

This is a situation I frequently find myself in. I own reusable bags, but frequently forget them at home when I go shopping. Because of this ecochallenge, I have been trying to do a better job keeping the bags in my car, and getting them back to my car after unloading groceries. This past week, I didn't have enough bags to hold all of my groceries, so I put in the small things and kept the larger items in my cart to unload in the car. It's less convenient, but I am going to try to make it a habit that when I don't have reusable bags, or enough of them, that I won't take the easy way out and will instead load the items from my cart to my car (doing this enough will probably make me less likely to forget the bags!)

How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

I think that practicing gratitude can help motivate me to work for a better world because it reminds me of all the positive things in life which I hope to preserve for my children and their children some day. It also helps me to be optimistic, which I think encourages altruistic behavior.
