  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Witnessing beautiful events in nature, such as a full moon rising over a mountain peak, gives us perspective that we are part of something larger. The emotional rush of something so majestic is sometimes overpowering. Spending time indoors doesn't allow us that rush, that innate response to take a deep breath of fresh air, and connect us spiritually to the natural world.

Every little bit helps. Don't underestimate the power of bits.
