Yesterday I went to a clothing swap and it felt great to see things I hadn't worn much find new homes. I took one thing home: a wool sweater that looked a bit worn because of the pills on it, but after I used a fabric shaver to remove the pills (those small fuzzy knots/balls), it now looks brand new.

I purchased carbon offsets for two flights from The Gold Standard website, where I learned about a wide variety of projects around the world that reduce carbon emissions - from cleaner cookstoves to natural area rehabilitation. It was great to see all the positive work being done - I really appreciated that counter to what can feel overwhelmingly negative in the news.
I calculated my flight emissions at https://www.icao.int/environmental-protection/CarbonOffset/Pages/default.aspx and purchased offsets at https://www.goldstandard.org/take-action/offset-your-emissions
Three of many available projects to fund through The Gold Standard's carbon offset program.
