Lynne Kane 10/24/2019 4:55 AMI've made a permanent change in my life and am now spending more time outside when I get home from work. Also am thinking more about what I buy and if I really need it or not, which will in turn help me de-clutter the house. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Lynne Kane 10/16/2019 8:02 AMIt's so easy to get too busy and forget to go outside and get some fresh air. Had to carve out some time each day to accomplish this, but it is so worth it. Don't take my phone so it is just peaceful and quiet and nice to see the grass and flowers and hear the birds singing. Kind of like feeding your soul. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity necessary for practicing simplicity?
Lynne Kane 10/14/2019 5:06 AMIt's so easy to get in the habit of seeing something cute and then buying it on impulse. This challenge is making me think about where I would put this "want" and if I really need it or not. Have to kind of visualize whether this would be something to keep "forever" or just another thing for the garage sale down the road.
