  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Run water less when brushing teeth.  Water yard less often.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

Don't like the extra dishes...lol  But I'm creating less waste material in our world.  Feels great.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Simplicity Go for a Daily Walk
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

A brisk walk invigorates! I'm more awake and ready to conquer the day.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

Not missing straws as much as I thought I would. And doing the environment a HELP at the same time.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Try a New Way to Prep
Canning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. Just make sure to follow the canning and pickling guidelines from the USDA. What are some foods that you would like to preserve and enjoy later in the year?

Used to help my grandmother can food - always had lot of fun.  Just have never taken the time to do it myself.  I've printed the directions and am going to try it.  Who knows, maybe one day my grandchild will enjoy canning with me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

They miss the beauty of the outdoors, the stars in the evening and just the sense of peace in the stillness of the night.
