REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Go PaperlessReducing your paper mail can be such a freeing action to take -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?
Taylor Johnson 10/23/2019 9:12 AMcommiting to learning the rules of composting in my area, and divert more household waste from trash to compost so the nutrients can stay in the cycle -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Express My SupportWhat sustainability issues are most pressing or prominent where you live?
Taylor Johnson 10/23/2019 9:10 AMMy town, and the US in general is very car centric. Public transportion is lacking and is hard to rely on full time, so almost everyone owns a car and is dependent on it day to day. If cities were planned smarter and more funding was allocated to transit and building safe walking/bike paths, we could reduce carbon emissions -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Enjoy the Sunrise/SunsetFather Thomas Berry says, "...our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." Respond to Berry's assertion.
Taylor Johnson 10/23/2019 9:09 AMwhen you watch the sunrise/set you have a few minutes of quiet, uninterrupted time where you can think or even just meditate and let your mind drop all the stress of the day. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Leave No TraceEducator Stephanie Kaza advises her students to focus on what they care about most when addressing the enormity of ecological problems. Is there a specific area you feel particularly called to work on?
