Angela 's actions
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 30-minute walk outside each day.
Food
Try a New Way to Prep
I will try a new method of food preparation, such as canning, pickling, or baking bread.
Water
Collect Rain Water
I will create a rain garden or bioswale or use rain barrels to collect water for outdoor watering needs.
Simplicity
Needs Vs. Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
Energy
Install Alternative Energy
I will install alternative energy systems, such as solar electric systems or solar water heaters.
High Impact Action Track
Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Waste
Historically, marginalized and low-income communities live closer to landfills, contributing to a multitude of health problems. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Angela Ireton 9/30/2019 8:10 AMWe are already signed up to get solar panels this fall! We are all getting a couple of power walls, which will hopefully provide power during the night, and if we get big snowstorms with power outages this winter. We will also be able to plug in our electric car and charge it off solar power! We are excited.
