Jerrie Dayton 10/14/2019 7:34 AMGetting ready for winter. Heeled in my outdoor Bonsai and brought all the plants in for the winter. Planted daffodils and crocus and am in process of digging up the canna bulbs. Awaiting my 10 bare root trees from the Arbor Day foundation. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Jerrie Dayton 10/09/2019 1:17 PMSpent all day Sunday outdoors. Marveled at how plants keep trying to grow despite the shorter days. Or how the waters edge changes the plants it touches.-

Jerrie Dayton 10/07/2019 7:40 AMI have been working on the trees on my property a lot this fall. Trimming the volunteers out and shaping the Yews and working on the maples. We had to cut down our ponderosa pine which was very sad. It had just gotten large enough to matter! However it got the pine tip blight and pine beetle borers. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Plant TreesHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Jerrie Dayton 9/11/2019 7:37 AMTrees help the air, are beautiful, are comforting, and provide homes for wildlife. I feel my best when trees are abundant. Trees are calming.
