Kathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How do we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?

I completely agree.  We begin cultivating a sense of gratitude just like we begin cultivating a garden...with a desire to make something grow.  By getting our hands dirty and planting a tiny seed.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

For starters, it seems that more people driving today are looking at their phone then  paying attention to the actual task of driving.  The percentage of people I witnessed while walking of drivers holding their phone in their hand is extraordinarily high.

Reduce fuel consumption by leaving the car at home and riding a bike to nearby places where possible.

In Charlotte, NC which is where I live, Duke Energy is the company that runs our electricity.  They operate a system of generating plants fueled by oil or natural gas to supplement the power supply during peak times.

Awesome time of year when the frogs and toads seem to be more prevalent.  This little guy jumped right on my shoulder after this shot.
