The jury is in on this one. Practicing gratitude reduces toxic emotions like envy, resentment, frustration and regret.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health More Fruits and Veggies
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

Firstly, I owe the success of this challenge to my Vitamix.

Personally, I feel that sustainably/locally/humanely raised grass-fed beef is better for the planet than a plant-based diet. For a number of reasons. But in any case, my normal diet relies heavily on pre-packaged foods. So reducing that alone reduces the amount of waste in the landfill. And it goes without saying that consuming more greens (micronutrients) has a positive effect on me.

How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

Aside from a few workouts sprinkled in here and there, it's been like 6 months off the gym. Therefore, I'm taking it super slow with each session back; primarily to avoid getting injured.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Reduce refined sugar
Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?

I was 100% addicted to sugar—still am really. But I've eliminated refined sugar for now. As expected. The cravings are still there. So I'm resorting to natural sugars like berries and dates. AKA nature's candy........

Unfortunately, I'm only going after the low hanging fruit at the moment. Surely pale in comparison to others.
