    David Bodrog 10/23/2019 6:07 AM
We could find better ways to recycle on a large scale.   Also, maybe thinking about a new way to creatively recycle glass which has been done away with in our community.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
High Impact Action Track Zero-Waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

If you grow potatoes, that's easy.  Use the potato and the skin for eating.  The stock can be recycled in the compost pile.

    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    David Bodrog's avatar
    David Bodrog 10/22/2019 11:31 AM
No it doesn't surprise me.  I would rather use this money to educate people to the fact to be more aware and conservative in this area of wasted food.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What works the best for me is taking a small portion of the back yard to plant a garden.
