We've made it to the end of the People's Challenge.  Final numbers will show up tomorrow, but right now we are ranked #1 in Florida by a good margin (we've held that position the whole time) and #104 out of almost 800 teams around the world!  There are only two teams our size or smaller that ended with a better overall score/impact.  Good job...

I would like to can tomatoes for sure.  My bff used to grow tomatoes and make a big pot of spaghetti sauce to can, in addition to plain tomatoes, every year and it would get her family through the year.  I'd also like to learn how to make jam.  Preserving fruits and veggies is a great way to enjoy your summer garden year round.

Just saw a great documentary on Netflix called The Game Changers on Netflix.  If you have considered moving to a plant-based diet, I highly recommend it.  If you haven't considered limiting your meat intake, I'd still recommend it!

Only six more days to knock out your one-time challenges and daily check-ins!  This one's going quickly, but I'm especially enjoying that I'm using my time better.  I've been walking and spending less time on screens.  I've even started tracking my water and caloric intake again!  My one-time challenges probably won't be achieved during the...

I can't believe the sense of relief I've gained in the past two weeks as I have begun purging items from my home.  I recently lost a lot of weight and partnered with a local women's halfway house to donate clothes, unused toiletries, kitchen items and a few small appliances to help the women get set up after their release from prison.  I've...

Went to Sea World this past weekend! Purchased a set of totally cute straws and a straw brush to wash them with.  I love the little bag, it has a cute little whale on the front, and the straws are a super pretty rainbow looking color.  Keeping them in our car!  LOVE THEM!  Also got a re-useable water bottle with all kinds of beautiful creatures...

I'm enjoying the slightly cooler weather by walking outside and not on a treadmill in the gym.  I love feeling the breeze and listening to the sounds of nature (I don't generally bring headphones) and I get to appreciate the trees, plants, and flowers in my neighborhood.  Sometimes I get to see wildlife:  a bard owl, deer, or sandhill cranes,...

This does not surprise me at all. I have close friends that eat out often, and when they cook they don't eat leftovers. I'm always so put off by this, as in my household we try and waste nothing and eating out is a treat! Leftovers are typically my lunch or I will freeze what I can use again for another meal.   I could invest this money or save...

We currently have one car to use and so we carpool to save money and it's a great convenience.

HI TEAM!   I have a friend who is a Master Gardener with UF/IFAS and he is lecturing at Cone Park Library on 10/15  (Tuesday) about "No-Till Backyard Gardening".  He is extremely knowledgeable about organic farming and sustainable eating and I am sure that this will be a very informative program.  The event site says that it's full,...
