Our last day!  Hope you have enjoyed this month as a Challenger, and hope it has helped you discover new ways to help the planet.  Stay tuned for the next one - and in the meantime, don't stop!

Impact investments are investments made with the intention to generate positive, measurable social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.   This type of investing is much like what has been called 'green' investing, but with the addition of measured impact as part of the returns reported.  NYC employees lobbied to have their...

I loved doing the challenge again! I always learn something new and it provides opportunities to be more mindful of the impact our daily actions have. Thank you Val Percy!

I have made a conscious effort to reduce refined sugar in my daily diet.  I have made some changes and now I have one beverage with sugar in it daily.  I drink coffee in the morning and I use sugar.  I have cut down on the amount in the coffee.  I do not feel like I am addicted to it because of the little amount I use; however I do not enjoy it...

I learned that one of the indigenous tribes that originally inhabited this area is the Lenape.  There are very few Lenape people living here now, as they were displaced mainly to Oklahoma.  There are efforts to reclaim and retell the history of the Lenape and colonization.   'Why is balance important to sustainability?" There is a need for...

I pay the majority of my bills online and to have a paperless option just makes sense. It makes me happy to have less waste and recycling.  We already recycle and my husband composts so beyond that I'm not sure what our next step will be.

I don't have any specific plans for it.  It will just add into the rest of our savings.

I need reminders to check in on the weekends. I had a talk with my daughter this weekend for not recycling her cans and encouraged her to recycle everything she can!
