REFLECTION QUESTION
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking, or driving?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIf you were to only eat what is in season locally, what would be the hardest food item for you to give up?
Tom Yost 10/04/2019 12:01 PMIts super easy cooking locally when you get all of your groceries from a CSA! Right now I have lots of tomatoes, kale, and summer squash and soon it'll be lots of potatoes and winter squash. The difficulty is giving up or using less non-local ingredients like avocados or olives. I can't give up mangos. Sorry. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodDependable fresh food, better prices (cutting out carbon-heavy supply chain and grocery stores), supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these benefits (or others not listed here) inspires you the most?

REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteNew to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?
