Grace's actions
Waste
Recycle Everything I Can
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, making sure to not contaminate recyclables with non-recyclables.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 15 minute(s) each day.
Water
5-Minute Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 15-minute walk outside each day.
Energy
Turn it off
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Grace Werner 10/16/2019 8:41 AMI think the eco challenge is great! I have done everything on my list already, some I didn't even mean to do, I just did them. I got 15 minuets of
exercise by walking my dog, at least everyday it wasn't raining. I went for daily walks by doing the same thing. I timed my showers and each time I only took 4:43! When I left rooms, I turned off the lights. Finally, the thing I always really enjoy, I like to build diaramas, as I was out of all my new foam board, I used old moving boxes that we had lying around! I love building things!-
Susan Niver 10/19/2019 5:49 PMExcellent! Keep up the good work!
It sounds like you're really thinking about how to use fewer resources.
Also - I bet your dog was happy too!
