Before starting the eco-challenge I would take 15-20 minute showers that would waste water. My parents both take 5-minute showers and I thought that I could never take them but this year I took on that challenge. Since it is getting colder I have had the urge to take longer showers in the warm water but I haven't. I set a timer and listen to three songs and then get out of the shower. Not only has it saved more water but it has helped me with getting ready a lot faster.

I'm really glad you have been lessening the time you spend in the shower to 5 minutes! That's such a great improvement! A little advice I have for is to take cold showers that will wake you up and make you want to get on with your day. I've also been lessening my time and hope you also can give me some tips on how to improve! Great Job!

This year I really wanted to focus on Reduce single-use products. So far I have been really successful. I used to always pack plastic ziplock bags that you could only use once. I went onto amazon and purchased reusable ziplock bags made out of silicone. I know use that every day when I pack my lunch and my parents use them also. Lastly, I made my dad use the reusable bags when he goes grocery shopping instead of the plastic bags.
