An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

    I haven't used any single use disposables for the duration of this challenge. Hopeful I can keep it up!

    I didn't use my car all weekend. I found alternate ways to get around. Very rewarding!

    The only time I have used my car this week has been to and from work. I have been riding my bike everywhere else while the weather is still good.

    I have significantly reduced my single use disposables during this challenge. Packaging my food by reusable container might take a little longer, but it is better for the environment.

    I ran a new trail by my house that follows a canal. It was nice to check out what nature had to offer along the way.
