When I walk or bike to work instead of driving, I notice my surroundings and feel a part of the world instead of being insulated from it.  Just this morning, I rode by a house that had a really lovely front garden with a low wall and some nice plantings.  Since we're planning to do something similar, I stopped and took a pic.  Never would've happened if I'd been driving.

I'm literally on a roll.  Biked in again today for the grand opening of the new "bike barn" at work.  The dedicated space can hold up to 90 bikes using "The arc." pushbike racks and is free for building tenants!  Very nice.

I'm feeling guilt for the blasé attitude I've had in the past about my own actions (or lack of action) and their impact.  I'm going to take that guilt derived energy and try to direct it towards something more helpful by making some meaningful changes.  I'm hoping to get ideas and motivation from this upcoming EcoChallenge.
