Ann Snow 10/23/2019 1:43 PMThis has been a great Ecochallenge. Each year I implement new things and continue to improve how I interact with the world around me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Install a Toilet Tank BankName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Ann Snow 10/23/2019 1:42 PMWe need to pay just as much, if not more attention to what we are putting down our drains as we do to what comes out of our faucets. Understanding that the detergents we use, any pharmaceuticals we consume/flush down, and even antibacterial soaps we use affect the quality of our water should make us think twice and work harder to be more ecologically responsible. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Turn it offHow is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?
Ann Snow 10/21/2019 4:43 PMWe use electricity generated partially from nuclear power, partially from wind. It is good to harness the power of wind but that comes with a price, as does the more obvious nuclear power. The best thing we can do is use less power in general. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Audit Toxic Cleaning Products in my HomeTo what extent do you believe that environmental factors contribute to your own health or issues with health?
Ann Snow 10/16/2019 9:37 AMEnvironmental factors are a HUGE impact on health issues! I wish others would realize that, too, and start making changes that will help not only themselves, but the rest of the world also. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Know My healthHow do you deal with the physical and emotional stress of the big problems we face? How can you help others cope?
Ann Snow 10/16/2019 9:30 AMTaking time to breathe, relax, meditate, or stretch as often as possible seems to work like an oasis in a desert for me. The challenge is recognizing in the moment that I need to take a break. -
Ann Snow 10/07/2019 10:24 AMMaking this a priority is the challenge. There are so many things that pull our attention or seem like a bigger priority, yet it's the little things that really add up, not only to an improved environment, but to a better me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Ann Snow 10/07/2019 9:28 AMBy slowing down and walking my neighborhood instead of driving, I see more animals, buildings & houses, and people than I would otherwise see. It connects me to the people and environment around me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Ann Snow 10/07/2019 9:09 AMI have been getting 6 hours a night for the most part, and consequently am too tired to exercise in the morning. My reevaluating my day, I can incorporate exercise while getting enough sleep as well. I do not want to sacrifice one for the other, as both are very important!
